Should I respec before hitting 60?

Do NOT respec before level 60.

You won't have enough talents to reach essential talents for those endgame builds.

And above that, your solo play leveling will be scuffed as you miss out on that sweet Dark Pact.

What gear should I get whilst leveling?

The optimal thing to do is to neglect all stats for shadow/spell power because these are the only stats that translate directly to killing efficiency (in multiple ways).

However, losing stats like stamina and intellect make your gameplay more unstable and susceptible to mistakes as your health and mana values are able to swing much faster than you might expect -- this can lead to more "random" deaths when you make a mistake. Spirit does not contribute very much to a drain tank build so it has a very low value when you stop using your wand primarily.

It is suggested to get as much [Shadoweave] as you can get (which has some int/stam), and eagle/stamina gear in the off pieces. It is important to note that if your goal is to level quickly, do not go too far out of your way to obtain small upgrades. The time you invest into your gear should make up for the "lost" time in leveling speed.

tl;dr: The more spell power you have the better. You kill faster, you recover resources faster, you convert resources faster. Intellect and stamina are crutches: necessary in some amount, but crutches nonetheless. Spirit is essentially neglectable.

What professions should I get whilst leveling?

Speedleveling:

First Aid only. [Note: Always take First Aid as a warlock!]

Leveling where speed is a factor but not speedleveling:

Skinning only.

If you want to max two professions while leveling without expending gold:

Skinning + Mining / Herb.

Leveling with professions where speed is not a concern & with endgame in mind:

- Tailoring + Skinning / Herb.

- Engineering + Mining.

Enchanting is not recommended at all unless your guild is going to support you as Guild Enchanter.

Note that you will outlevel Mining / Herb rapidly while leveling and you'll have to spend time running around for nodes which can be a considerable time sink.

When can I do Imps Request?

The quest is in from the get-go in Season of Mastery. It is not a must-do quest. The 2H is already outdated and the shard only has niche uses

Done my Sunken Temple class quest, what item should I get?

Trolls of a Feather is the level 50 warlock class quest for the Sunken Temple.

As a reward you can choose between three items.

The [Robes of Servitude] in a good chest for its level, however worse than the preraid options for both PvP and PvE.

The [Soul Harvester] is a staff that has 1% hit, which is rare preraid and therefore makes it a good PvE weapon before you enter raid content. For this reason, it is a good choice to get the Soul Harvester. It has good stats for PvP, but you generally want to use a one-handed weapon + offhand. Aside from PvE and PvP, the weapon is a unique model and the only scythe available in the game, making it a nice choice for style gear, perfectly fitting the warlock theme.

The last possible reward choice is the [Abyss Shard]. It is a trinket that allows you to cast "Summon Voidwalker" without mana costs and without the need for a soul shard. It has no direct impact on either PvE or PvE, since the cast time remains the same. The main use of the item is that you can create a "free" soul shard every 30 minutes by using the trinket to summon a voidwalker and then out-ranging the pet, which results in you getting back a soul shard. Unlike the other two item choices, it will never get replaced by better gear, but it will always remain in your inventory, blocking an item slot.

We don't typically recommend speccing specifically for this, but if it's something you're truly dedicated to (and have a group equally as dedicated), here is the full list of talents that would provide some amount of benefit:

--improved corruption for dotting while tank generates threat

--improved life tap

--improved imp if you use a tank (fire shield threat generation and stam)

--imp healthstone

--demonic embrace

--imp vw for beefier shields

--fel dom and master summoner for faster vw resummons

--demonic sacrifice (imp)

--isb/bane for boss fights

--shadowburn for runners

--intensity

--pyroclasm for 1.6% chance to stun per mob per tick

--emberstorm

Note: I am not saying you need all of these. Pick and choose what is best for your group's needs and create your own spec.
